660 South Broadway is an adaptive reuse project, and home to more than 21,000 sq.ft. of newly renovated commercial space. The three-building structure originally served as a Ford Dealership and more recently home to the iconic General Hardware store. The buildings, which date back to 1918, had fallen into disrepair after the hardware store closed its doors for good in 2009, and presented a unique challenge for the development team. After carefully peeling back layers of plaster and drywall the beauty of the original buildings was exposed; showcasing beautiful turn of the century brick, steel trusses and wooden barrel roofs.
